What is an agentic ERP?
An ERP that AI agents can operate, not just query. Business Central exposes its actions over MCP, so an agent can read an order inbox, match items, check stock and draft the documents, with the same permissions and audit trail as a human user.
What is the difference between Copilot and an agent?
A chatbot like Copilot answers a question and stops. An agent picks up a task, works through it inside your ERP and hands you the result for approval. Assistants answer, teammates own a task end to end, operators run a full process with approval gates.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol: the open standard AI tools use to operate business systems. Business Central exposes an MCP server, which is what lets Copilot Studio, Claude, ChatGPT or custom agents work in your ERP without custom code.
Which AI tools work with Business Central?
Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude and Teams today, plus ChatGPT or your own agents via the MCP server. Your ERP shows up in the tools your people already have open.
What if an agent does something wrong?
Agents draft, propose and prepare; people decide. Approval gates are built into every workflow Deltanexx delivers, and you set where they sit. Combined with security roles and full logging, a wrong action gets caught at review, not discovered at month-end.
Can an agent touch our bank accounts?
Only if you give it that role, and you should not. Agents operate under Business Central security roles like any employee: an agent that drafts sales orders has no access to payments. You define the boundaries.
Is every agent action auditable?
Yes. Every agent action is permission-checked and logged: what the agent did, when, and based on what. Your auditor gets more traceability from an agent than from a spreadsheet.
Which agents does Microsoft ship in Business Central?
The Sales Order Agent (reads incoming orders, matches items, drafts the order), the Payables Agent (reads supplier invoices, prepares the purchase invoice) and the Expense Agent, shipped in Business Central 2026 release wave 1 on the cloud, with the list growing every release.

Is this live anywhere, or still a demo?
